Can you pause this game whilst you decide what to do?
Surely with so much going on you need to pause and have a look around.

You can press ESC to pause.

That's not quite what he's asking- there is no way to pause AND look around. ESC brings up the pause /menu/.

Haven't read that, indeed.
but there's an option to slow down the game up to 50%, if you go to Menu -> Options -> Gameplay -> Pacing -> Gamespeed
