I like the look of both wooden blocks (6, 7). The big rocky block looks good, too (1). They surely will look good as a floor.

I'd love to have some sandstone-like, adobe-like, and mud-brick-like blocks to make buildings less gray and more light colored and to be able to build houses looking like adobes, but probably using a little different texture and color than these here (2, 3).

Number 1 could work for a sewer system setting.

Amazing project you are doing here! Have you considered adding brick texture? :)
Coggernaut 20 18 Feb, 2017 @ 2:36pm
Brick Texture sounds awesome!

sorry guys. If you want these ask shilerhobbs. He did the Data and mwm. I just had idea and did texture work. I thought once I had this info I could just rename everything in mod folder add new texture and upload. I cant so blender wins again.
Coggernaut 20 19 Feb, 2017 @ 10:13am
Wolf, I can do the data and mwm for you too :P

Hell, we'll make it super great, with unique materials for crafting it if you want

Thanks Cog, but I don't wanna have to depend on you and shilerhobbs who also offered to help me all the time. I would like to figure this out so I can be great like STORI3D, Dan2D3D, and you bro. I have it in me to be great I just don't understand the files. I'm greatful for all you have done but I believe M.E. can make this easier in some way. I will just continue to help texture things for you and other people til somebody makes it more laymans. The harog or havoc or whaterver that place is that explains the process of exporting is very confusing. They should of made a video. Hell you had that cow in game in less then a half hour. If somebody recorded that in slow mo cause im sure your fast lol we would know the process. Well thanks for the offer Cog but you have Realm of Mistvalin which I know keeps your hands full. Great Mod!!!

Well, I could come up with a template for you. That way all you need to do is "plug and chug". Though, I'll most likely edit "The Big Guide To Medieval Engineer's Modding" to show how to do blocks. This way it's a win win. Because the knowledge of modding should be public and for all to learn. Is that a pretty good compromise Mr. Wolfgar? :P
wolfgar7474 136 19 Feb, 2017 @ 12:36pm
Lol yes sir it is. I totally agree that it should be for all not just brainiacs. I'm sure your guide will be great but I do hope they simplify it somehow. Thanks Cog

No problemo :)

And, they have said they'ed like to make it easier to mod

Ya Deepflame responded to me on my rant this morning. He said just that. I told him the same thing a video of a simple import fbx, change a texture and export would be the ticket we need. The players could watch the process instead of trying to understand someones intellect of explaination. Missed steps in a written explaination wouldn't be missed in a video. Some people can read something and completely understand and some people you have to show them. Both are great at what they do but they just learn in a different way.

Same grey as vanilla but with your beautiful design would work for me.
Dusty019 1 19 Feb, 2019 @ 3:40pm
I like 7, 6, and 1 in that order.
