[Request] Standalone Special Potion & Misc Vendor Concept
So I've seen several supplemental mods where authors just tip-toe on the premise of something I think could be great, but they usually abandon it and leave it in the dust. One major tick for me is having hundreds of different experience, gold and subtle gameplay modifiers, but none of them being consistent enough to hit every audience just right.

What I want to request then is a mod that utilizes the ideas of the following mods and takes them much further.

Note: It should be noted that I've tried the two following mods in tandem with terrible results and inconsistencies. Furthermore, the two mods cause conflicts when paired with mods such as synergies, torchfun, and essentials.

Potion and Spell Vendors

Potion Addons

These mods adds the following applicable content I'd like to see integrated into a single mod:

• Experience, gold and miscellaneous boosting potion which last an hour or more in varying intensities (100%, 1000%, etc)

• Bottomless/Unlimited Indentify, waypoint scrolls and health/mana/rejuvenation potions.

• Permanent stat potion modifiers with versions (+1/stat, +10/stat, etc)

• A standalone vendor which sells the above content with a feasible solution to avoid having to refresh the map to obtain more of the same item (i.e., buying a potion such as a health or mana potion always ensures you can purchase more so the same should be applied to the stat or gold/experience potions).

Note: If possible I'd very much hope that a mod like this could achieve the desired result while still leaving a small footprint so that if the end-user wishes to uninstall it it could be done without requiring the mod unbinder.

I've been looking forward to something like this for some time, but with no luck in finding anything to fulfill each point squarely. Price balancing is of course up to the creator.

Have you not tried Torchlight II Essentials mod? It has almost all of the desired potions these two mod has, atleast the crucial ones.

I'll try to look into this request along with other requests as soon as I'm done with my bestiary mod project.
The essentials mod provided the first element of the request to a limited extent, but foregoes the other two options entirely. The closest mods to even touch on this were the two above and the Haknslash compilation.

Occasionally such compilations boot other items off the vendor's inventory list entirely with or without added supplemtal mods. It is why I'm requesting this here. I feel there are no mods yet to fully touch on this.

Thank you for considering this. Many of the outdated nods that do tip-toe on the premise of this do not entirely fulfill the idea to its full extent so it would be great to have this, especially under its own vendor where no conflict can occur with NPC inventory.

This little mod is the standalone version, but I'll be doing an entire submod with just the potions added (which currently are being added to my other mod (Improved Stats +).

Just let me know or friend me on discord if you need to poke me a little bit, how much time you're willing to wait. But I'll do it, and give ya credit for ideas or if ya wanna test it.

Thank you for considering picking up the mod request as well. I haven't seen much activity here so seeing someone pick up something like this is actually pretty awesome of you.

I hope it will be possible to implement that store-based vendor with permanent stat adjustments in increments of 1/5/? + experience, gold and fame potions with different increments as well. I do hope it'll be possible without triggering some sort of cheat flaw. Some mods managed to pull this off without incurring in a character-cheat flagging penalties so I hope this is still possible. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! :steamhappy:

Do you mean, by increments of 1/5, that it would add .2 to stat? I can certainly do that. Or do you mean multiple potions, lol. I'd probably have to hear you explain to understand. Feel free to hit me up. The hardest option would be to make it increase as you level... which I think I can also do...

Multiple potions with options to increase a stat by one or five and maybe a third larger option for people who want to spend more gold for bigger gains. I'm intending that the potions be a permanent stat upgrade so that the excess cash gained in questing can have a worthwhile benefit for characters taking on elite+ difficulties. It'd go well with any exp/gold temporary buffs provided by potions.

Okay cool to hear. I'll visit the discord soon to coordinate or at least just to get a peak at whats up. The idea is already there so I want to meddle as little as possible with the final result. Can't wait to see what happens!

Main reason I've avoided many mods like the above is because the NPC they use to sell the content is a base game one that other mods utilize as well. Having an entirely separate NPC at least guarantees that there will be no vendor content discrepancy. It also helps to note that the mods I mentioned in the OP are not updated anymore and just aren't furnished to deliver the exact intended purpose of this workshop request.

I want to reiterate that by having a separate vendor with stat upgrade potions and temporary boosts it modifies as little to the base game as possible without causing conflicts when removing the mod. It leaves a small footprint albeit with stat modifiers from potions bought and used.

If you'd like to post the discord here I'd love to join soon for more direct coordination. While I don't mind the idea of rare potions dropping that alter stats, I feel that supplimentary tools bought by a designated vendor separate from the others works as a decent gold sink while also functioning as an option for believable stat modification.
