Mod Request - Higher level blacksmith weapons and armor
In the game, heroes have a chance of receiving weapons/armor above the level 4 blacksmith variety when they destroy a high level lair. E.g. dagger of the ages, a level 5 dagger that does 8 base damage.

I thought a nice mod idea would be to allow heroes to somehow continue to upgrade their weapons at the blacksmith up to the max level of level 7, as it is very rare for heroes to get these weapons. In fact I don't ever recall seeing a level 7 weapon in game, despite them existing in the game files. I only occasionally see level 5s and once I saw a level 6.

I'm sorry that I don't have any modding experience and doubt I have the skills of ever achieving this so I thought I'd just post my idea in case anyone was interested in taking this on for a project.

Thats not too difficult to create. Though beyond a certain blacksmith upgrade, the name of the equipment ceases to change, instead only the damage or armor number will increase after that point. It's not something I'd consider worth uploading to the Workshop given how little effort it actually takes, but I can create it in a few minutes if you want it for your own use.

Thanks for the reply. So would it be like if a hero with a level 4 weapon went to get the next upgrade, it would still have the level 4 weapon name but with a +1 damage number?

It depends on when the particular piece of equipment stops having a name update with the next upgrade. After that point, the name remains static while the equipment increases by +1.

This basically means that you can have as many equipment upgrades as you want, but the actual name of the equipment will reach a limit eventually.

Alright, you can download the .RAR file containing the mod here.[www.filedropper.com]

You can extract it to your local Majesty Mod folder to play it without needing to log into Steam. It should be extracted to Documents\My Games\MajestyHD\Mods\SDK\

This was done since otherwise it would loop back to the lvl 1 name, as it does in Vanilla.

The highest leveled lair in MFKS is the Elven Lair (in the level you have to kill them all or pay them off). It gives the best possible loot.

I don't suppose I could get an updated link/version? This mod would be something I'd also love to have, but the file in question no longer exists.

The upgrades from the blacksmith can go up to 6 levels instead of the original three, with the cost of gold scaled appropriately at each extra level for the hero to buy.
