... I would think this is the biggest minefield for most to work with.
If possible- would have to somehow "register" a second character on the same screen (or 2 cameras and screens) then have the key mapper set to share two controllers...
It depends on how limited Guts and the game coding are.
Good idea and thanks for sharing!
I will hope that this is possible in spite of the restrictions.
What we have for TL2 moddability right now, is that the game design is already laid out, we modders, only can explore and exploit how that design can be interpreted or can be focused on further.
You might need a hacked game exe or a 3rd party software raiding TL2 exe to make this possible.
If I'm going to be super positive about this, I would say that this request is most likely to happen for an exclusive multiplayer PvP mode, like the torchlight arena project.
But unfortunately, the only controls that a pet/minion recognizes are Aggressive, Passive, and Defensive. Well technically, they can also answer to "Send to Town" and "Feed Pet".
Yeah, actual programming is needed and some hacking ingenuity to make the scripts inject in-game. Atleast, that's what I imagined someone making a single screen co-op hack.
