Even M1 Carbines and M1 Garand were there...
the last two, LRRPs which weren't armed nearly the same as the average infantryman.
Though cant say is it somekind of special unit etc.
Edit. Was used by US advisors, recon , specialforces and S. Vietnam troops.
So it was there but it was rare.
We dont have Specialforces as unit or others, it would be unrealistic.

the difference is the grease gun still saw widespread useage until the 1990s whereas the thompsan was basically ditched by anyone who used it after ww2
Thompson was officially obsolite 1971 by US military...
Though we can give it to Vietnamise troops as VC and china made copies of it and South V used it whole war.
