I subscribed, seems to work for me. Haven't gone far into it, but it's definitely working.
I played up until I was supposed to find Ruby and I left town and went to the next icon on the map but it didn't go anywhere and I was killed by a spider. The demo seems to end right about that point anyway though.
- I won't go into typos and misspellings, since I am not being paid to be the editor, and maybe english isn't your first language, not judging, but there's quite a few, like on the opening screen 'New Game, Load Game, Quite Game' (should be 'Quit game'.) There are many and it would take a while to point them out. However, I can understand what's supposed to be said, so I will focus on other things.
- The cutscene that starts at your uncle's house is repeatable. When Kiel wakes up and finds Ruby gone, he goes to look for her and he appears downstairs, just like he did with her. If the player goes up instead of down and outside, that causes the whole cutscene with your uncle to replay (which is a great way to stock up on those 2 potions he gives you everytime). You may as well just have Kiel appear outside the front door.
- Outside, the rain storm is rather loud (to me, maybe it's okay for others.) Maybe a downward tweak of 5 to 10 points on the volume.
- Kiel says it's a surprise that there's a storm raging outside when he leave the house, but when it's that loud we should hear it inside the house. Maybe set the cutscene in the bedroom when he wakes up alone at night to have the Storm sound playing (but cut it by 50% of what you have it at outside so it sounds muted.) You can only really go into two houses, so this just needs to be done for Uncle's House and Neighbor's House (misspelled by the way.) On the doors leading in, set the set the sound volume down, and on the door leading out, turn it back to normal.
- Same deal with the rain. It continues when you go inside a building, so have the Transfer events on the doors to Uncle's House and Neighbor's House turn off the weather effects and turn them back on when the PC steps out. This way it isn't storming inside (and the muted sound will give the atmosphere of there being a storm outside.)
- Even though you go looking for Ruby, she never leaves your party. She's right there when you step outside and get into fights. You should probably remove her from the party during the cutscene. Better yet... you don't really have to add her to the party unless you want Kiel to steal her starting gear. I get it you may want her following you around and that's easier with her listed as a follower.
- If you do want to put Ruby in the party for such a temporary time, give her another class. As soon as I open the Menu and see that her class is 'DemonicPrincess' I already know too much when Kiel goes off on his schpiel about being a big demon hunter and killing them all. You can make a fake class and have Ruby start as that if you really want her in the party that early. You can later have her change to her 'true' class after all the cutscene and hunting.
- A small peeve I also had, was all the townsfolk wandering around not only at night... but during a storm. Might want to have them set on a switch or something. Nothing they really say is important except the guy explaining the dragon statue save point. You can always have a text box from Kiel pop up and mention the statue with a triggered event across the road as he passes it. Otherwise, you can set up a glowing indicator in front of it (stepping animation) to draw attention to to it.
- Do the same with the transfer event at the end of the dirt road, since it otherwise looks like any other part of the map. I ended up wandering down and around the guys camp and under the bridge (got the potion in the rocks.) Set up a glowing ring or something.
- I am not a fan of the hornets and spiders lurking in the woods right outside the town. Not necessarily because of their difficulty (though they'd crush Kiel alone) but because they tend to poison and there's not a lot of Antidotes available that I found. So should probably tweak that as you advance the demo.
- The woods outside the town have that back and forth sidewinding type path, but of course you can just walk straight through the woods, so that's really just arbitrary. I don't know if the encounters are higher when you step off the road, but there's really no logical consistency to how the path just goes up and down and up and down.
Keep working on the stuff. Make it as detailed and fun as the very first scene where you basically assault a girl you don't know and everything should be fine. :)
