If you have not submitted your skins correctly, we will completely ignore you unless the design is something unbelievably eye-catching it'd be worth tracking you down to fix things. There are plenty of resources out there, from the dev wiki, to discord, to tutorials on the community hub, that people should not be getting this part wrong anymore if they're serious about having their work considered.
We intentionally added older skins submitted from well over a year ago with update 1.9 to give lesser known artists visibility, and had a bunch more we were going to add (including some human items I was sad to see not get in). Last minute changes in priorities unfortunately meant we weren't able to put as many new cosmetics as we'd have liked into this update.
Try to not make them for classes that are over-exposed, we have a billion feathered raptor skins for example, but barely any human skins or pterosaur skins.
Go for naturalistic appearance, things that have the look of body-paint or strange unnatural patterns like lightning rarely look good and often feel out of place.
If there's a seasonal holiday / event coming up, such as christmas, then it's wise to submit some content themed around that in the month leading up to it. Vice versa, don't go submitting a halloween skin in January, since it's possible it will be forgotten by the time October rolls around.
Again, I am glad to see the reasons why and how to improve in the future.
What's even worse is that there's beautiful and natural skins like Levia Draconia's Sedimentary Raptor and Quicksand Ovi or others that are ignored.. Why.. Is it cause the .upk is wrong? What about the developer comments section??
