So to start with - I am really new to this, so I may be asking obvious questions here.

I just picked up the UME for Game Dev Tycoon, not sure if it still works or not but either way I've discovered it doesn't have the features I was hoping. It's great for adding material, but not so much for changing the material that's already present - or at least if it can edit the existing elements of the game I missed how in the tutorial for it.

I'm hoping to make a few balance tweaks, like curving 2D games back into popularity near the end of the game and altering other trends to reflect where gaming is now. I have visions of grand alterations and additions down the line, but let's start with that.

How would I make that change? I've got the codeNw file open in text, do I just go fishing through it for the right section or is there a better way?
