Sonic 3 & Knuckles workshop idea

I don't have any idea how to rom hack or mod sonic games but a really good idea I have is why can't tails airlift sonic out side of needing a second player?

In Maina, there's a way tails can do this too through looking up and then jumping which would only make tails jump instead of both sonic and tails.

Basically you could kinda control both of them.

So, is there any one interested in my very badly explained idea?

Sonic 3 Complete has this on by default among it's gameplay options. You can even choose if you want the Sonic 3 way of controlling Tails (from the Marble Garden Act 2 boss) by pressing up, or the Sonic 1 2013/mobile remaster way (also Sonic 2 and Mania) as you described.

I didn't know that. Funny enough I have Sonic 3 complete installed but I still play the vanilla sonic 3 & knuckles.

I should start playing more of my workshop mods I have for sonic 3 since they seem to add the experience of sonic 3.

Lets just say, if you have Sonic 3 Complete, Sonic 3 & Knuckles is the inferior version
