Absolutely! In game if you open the interaction menu on a creature (hold e) one of the options is to save the creature to the workshop. That opens a menu which automatically populates the description with creature stats and allows you to select one of two camera angles for the picture. When you're happy with the image and screenshot then you can save it to the workshop.

Another question for the pre - release. I have seen people's uploads of creations from the pre - release and realized there are only four icons when you hold e - none of them allow me to submit the creature to the workshop. Is there another way to submit them to the workshop in the pre - release, or did i just miss something?

In prerelease you need to check the sync to steam workshop checkbox. It is found on the creature information interface you get when you select the creature in the bestiary.
