How to edit mod files

I just need help figuring out how to edit an existing mod file(s), but in the mod tools when I go to "open" the file doesnt show up. Says the file type needs to be .mod or something, whereas the files I want to change are .sga

So you want to leech off of someone elses work then? Maybe try asking them for the source files.

Or, y'know...learn from them. Not really "leeching" when everyone but the devs are unpaid. I'm happy to share my $0 worth of knowledge with him.

Download the DOW3 mod tools from the steam tools menu. Once installed open it and use the archive viewer.
2 places to look:
C:\Program Files\Steam\..............DOW3\archives
C:\users\name\document.......\mods
