* Angle Locks can be a crutch. Learn to build without them and you will improve quickly.

* Like mentioned above, adjust the weight of your cars frames. Most cars are over-built and unnecessarily heavy.

* Frames (and many other parts) can be hidden to give your car a cleaner, smoother look.

* Learn the hotkeys for adding new parts. F for frame, etc. It will speed up building time tremendously.

If a car isn't deforming how you think it should (damage-modeling/making crumple-zones), be sure to take your time re-adjusting the values before your final release; resetting frame durabilities to factory default values (select-all and adjust) should speed things up.

I had some fun de-rubberifying a car or few, and the Crash Test Site works wonders for fine-tuning a crashable frame (From basket ball to crushed can, when falling from heights); and with such adjustments, I can submit them as race track settings too, post-edit. That's probably why a car I use for a track I made isn't consistent with the original model.
*Look up anti roll bar diagram

*Learn how to make auto steering (look at it on someone else's build. )

*Learn lots of different types of suspension. (Mac Pherson, solid axle, independent A arm)

*TIP: You can actually use panels as support frames. If you make them invisible, they can act as pretty good stabilizers.
