Ok... Is there a way to stockpile say Reeds/Flax/Cotton, that does not count against the food limits, you might set?

I know there has to be a way, but somehow it escapes me.

I would like to stockpile both Reeds and Rope, but Reeds are counting against my food, and it makes it difficult to tell exatcly what my food count is.
