Modding Engine Sounds

Hi, hello! I am curious as to know if modding specific engine sounds for the variety of vehicles, as well as custom, is possible/with relative ease?

Currently all ships use the same audio file for the engine (engine.wav), and you cannot add a specific sound for any kind of ship.
