Edit workshop maps?

Is it possible to edit workshop maps? I have looked everywhere but I did not find such an option nor a thread about this.
Basically I found an old map that I really like but it has no plants, so I want to add some.

You technically can. First you have to find out where Steam saves subscription content, in other words, where this map is if you sub to it. Then you copy that map folder, containing all the .json files and .png into a ../Info/UGC/Maps/, this is where your World Editor looks for a map.

Sounds logical, but where would that be? I can not find it in the main castle story folder, nor in documents/mygames where all other games seem to put the workshop stuff at.
I did however find a save file with that map, would that work too?

You can google "where workshop contents are", can't you?
.../steampapps/workshop/content.

First time I encountered a game saving custom files there, for all other games where I had to modify things, it has put it into documents/mygames. But it worked so thank you L32.
