Workshop subs not downloading?

So I've recently subscribed to a few mods. A few campaigns, a challenge, and a couple UI mods. Thing is, none of it is downloading. Unlike most other games with Workshop support, I don't see the dowload starting on Steam. When I go in-game, I see the thing in the corner, like I know L4D2 to do, but the bar doesn't move. I know my internet is slow, but usually something changes when I leave it going for a few hours. There was no change. Any ideas?

This started to happen recently. When you subscribe to an add-on it is being downloaded by Steam but Steam does not display the progress at all. You can see the network load in Task Manager though.

That is very weird. I guess it wasn't downloading because I had downloading paused, since all I could see was normal game updates and not the Workshop stuff. Thanks for informing me of this. Hopefully it'll actually download now, since I see the network activity going.
