Mod Request: Increase Special Events from 2 to 4
I think this would be a great idea! Imagine how much mayhem you could have with this! Unfortunately, I don't really know the first thing about modding. So, this is just something which I think would spice up the game!

Please let me know if you this is possible!

I've been coding for a few days, and from what I can tell, this definitely IS possible. I think it requires some tweaking around in the Special events gpl file

Omg, if you can get this to work that... would be... INCREDIBLE! I would probably even post the mod on the general page! Only because that'd be such a huge game changer!

I'll try. No absolutes though. What quest were you planning for this to work on? I need the quest first I believe to activate this script, unless, of course, the number of special events to be triggered is hard-coded in-game

I was really just hoping to use it for freestyle quests with other mods :) especially the better heroes mod. That would be quite the game!

Still learning coding myself, the GPL and files are quite simple. The problem is getting the freaking thing to execute. No other coder's online at the moment to help with me. I wish CyberloreDev would take a look at my delimma. I think it may be on my end, but, who knows?

In addition, out of all of the quest content uploaded, only 1 has it's source code made available. I will look into it later today to compare with my code and see if there is a problem.

I think I'm onto something already. A user here has uploaded the MAKEGPL file, and, to my surprise, it's NOT the same one I have. It's been altered to allow the quest to output to a different named bcd file, as well as input the Data and GPL folders. While this might work for a Majesty Original ruleset and cam files, this does NOT work for Majesty Expansion. Whether this is a matter of copying and pasting the code and inputting the new sources and destinations, or a matter of inputting new original code into the MakeGPL file is yet to be determined, but one thing's for sure, I'm 90% sure its a problem with the MakeGPL file.

I know this is old. Use a Utility Script.

For an example look in Quests_3 under the caravans quest info. There's a function that spawns a strangleweed every 8 seconds that runs using the UtilityScript, which can be initialized along with the VictoryConditions functions and the SpecialEvent functions.
