elevator not recognizing newly opened floor below it, wont go down :)
i created a 3 steel ( cheap? lol ) floor under my elevator with a shaft below, once 3 switches have been pulled the 3 steel blocks vanish, via a variable. I was hoping to be able to get the elevator to go down, but it does not recognize that it is now able to do so.

Is there a way to make it realize? or remove it and put a new one in and it recognize the passage that is now available? :)

I've gone all 'smokinggun' in hopes of finding something there that will fix it for me but there are only basic commands :/

i considered blade traps and a plosion destroys the blades, but several bro's can just keep lobbing explosives till all the blades are removed :/

..Semi solved, i placed an elevator where i had the 3 steel blocks, now the variable allows a switch to become active, allowing you to call the 2nd elevator up, clearing the 'obstruction'

Why ydidnt you just put one elevator there instead of two?

Like just have one elevataor, and the call button get pressable through your other triggers, you still have the elevator as an obstruction but you can also use it to ride down the same time


Pretty sure elevators recognize their pathing on spawn, so its hard to mess with it once they are set

You can spawn the steel in the beginning, then destroy it, but the elevator above will always be able to go through the steel.

The elevator has several floors, the player can make the elevator go up a floor and go under it, so it had to be sealed, i considered not allowing it to go down to that level but overly complicated variables...perhaps have a check terrain trigger..? , when the elevator is within the terrain area, elevator can only go up.. still a bit much for me atm. i might give it a shot though :)

Thanks, a good idea, the elevator will still recognize it's path, and i can possibly use the terrain trigger, something i can play with :)
