Over my time playing, I realized that characters that are religious (Priests, Popes, etc.) are immune to damage and cannot be directly killed; This is strange though, seeing how you can make people naked with an adjective, kill BABIES, and still kill religious characters by doing things like adding the adjective "dead" or having them sink inside a vehicle in places such as the sewers of Gotham City.
