Ageing Too Fast...
Hello, Im not certain if this has been requested before, but Could someone tell me about or create a mod that makes my people age 1 year per year? It seems they are ageing alot faster then 1 year per in game year and its kinda frustrating to me... It makes me feel rushed, and limits the feel of conenction with my people, each and every one of them...

I think it would be cool, because as your children age, they could become more and more mistiouvous (Cant spell) and sometimes they might start fires, or steal if they are poor, or if their parents die, Im talking real life simulator here... I want to be an Omnipotent overseeing god in the real lives of individuals....

The - Realistic Aging - is as close as you'll get. All of the aging mechanics weren't released into lua for us to mod so the author did the next best thing. Because of the aging mechanics related to other aspects of the game even that is very limited. The devs aren't releasing anymore updates for modders either. Sad they didn't give us more to play with.

Hmm, thast really too bad :-( I hope someone makes a new game engine one day to make this sort of game Genre more realistic... I guess the technology is what is the most limiting factor :-(

Hi, this is not true. Game can be modded via mods and new scripts. Please contact directly more experienced and skilled modders like eien no shikaku, megadori or sir foxy. There is no need for devs to provide more data. You can just write your own code for it. I'm sure once you contact them they'll provide more assistance.

its funny thta you say that... eien no shikaku added me as a friend a while ago when i commented on a news post about htis game, was lookign to get backj into it anbd he added me as friend, but i replied right awya after accepting, asking hello>? he didnt reply, had no idea who he was so i unfriended lol

I know who he is now since i use all his mods to play the game as it is now :-P But i feel bad about un-friending him lol

Exactly how many mods do you have? Could someone of reasonable intelligence deduce from mods that I have made that I may have some knowledge on this? The last time I looked it wasn't possible to alter the speed of aging separately from game speed. If there is no lua hook to the c code then it can't be scripted. This is why we can't do a few other things we've wanted to do or have had use less than desired workarounds.

Everything can be modified. You need to write your own scripts and not rely only od files made by devs if you worked as game designer you should know this. I did but I'm not interested in nodding this game we have plenty of experienced modders like eien or megadori. They also did mods not using vanilla code and they're working like intended so maybe before you reply do some research on what can be done or not.
pheobewitch 11 Jul, 2019 @ 11:18pm
You can ask devs. They'll confirm it.
dominuskevin 3 11 Jul, 2019 @ 11:31pm
I know what @Megadori has done. I helped with some of it. Have you looked at the code I had to rewrite? I'm having a hard time believing you know anything about porting lua from C. How come the devs were constantly telling us we couldn't do this or that until they gave us access through lua code? They haven't released everything possible. When you write new script like @Megadori has done it's still connected back to C with proper keywords / functions. Even the creation of a new function is linked back through existing functions. If there's no stack or pointers how do you access it?

I think you're overreacting and you should really talk with devs or maybe someone experienced with lua and game design who you'll treat with respect. Comparing your work with number of mods made by eien or megadori you shouldn't attack other asking them how many mods they made. It's rude. I worked in game design many years and many things can be done. See you and try to study more lua scripting.
Dalorath 11 Jul, 2019 @ 11:57pm
I dont think he was attackign anyone, i think he was pointing out issues in the code language
Im no expert though...

No really?????
I redirected you to modders who are currently creating mods and they're working together really nice. I don't have problems when someone is providing more helpful feedback and not "it can't be done". You don't need to make mods to have programming knowledge so pointing out like dominuskevin did is not right way. He responded like someone offended that people can recommend active modders to help you.
