For editing existing text files, there really isn't a good way to do it. The data is in 8ld format, if I remember correctly which aren't easily editable or readable. If I can find it, I believe someone wrote a python script to allow reading them and posted it on the old forums, and I think I saved a copy somewhere.
That was Gloweye.
I can check if I can get you the source files on Monday highwayhoss.
OK I've been trying LibreOffice but it seems so clunky, never mind it seems to not be able to save as XML files.
Can anyone recommend a simple XML speadsheet editor (preferably free) that does not require an entire Office suite set to edit?
