LONG AGES Multiplayer Scenario Idea!
TL:DR, does anyone know how to make a gamemode where all techs take 10x the ressources?

Long Version:
So everyone is familiar with how the usually best way to win is to rush through the ages until you have the techs and units you can kill opponents with.

By making techs harder to achieve, it puts more emphasis on the current age, such as militias or simple archers for a longer time, even blacksmith upgrades would play a big role early on, and you have to make choices whether to advance or to create more units

I believe it would be a really fun gamemode that does not require learning any crazy mechanics or even build orders, since it might be more forgiving.

Thoughs or any kind of Help is greatly appreciated!

I think there is a mod that causes everything (not just techs) to take much longer.

Making just techs cost more would cause that players make lots of militia in Dark Age and claim victory before anyone advances to Feudal Age.

You are most likely right that 10x is an extreme example, but increasing the time only makes things slower. i want research to be a commitment, that you cant do both a humongous army and rush throuh the ages.

maybe 10 times is too much and people would drush, but then we can just fix the numbers. maybe 5x as much.

That could be very interesting, but it would also be quite slow.

Slow games means tension has more time to build up! what sucks is that im an illiterate at programming, while someone else could probably do it within minutes

You just need a dataset mod, I'm not sure how long it would take to set up. It shouldn't be too much of an issue.
