Editor lighting
I think that the lighting in the editor levels is to dark
I tried to find a brightness button or something like that but I couldn't
is it a bug or a feature?

Have you tried to increase the overall in-game brightness?

I tried but still it's noticeably darker than the main campaign
maybe it's just me

And also I noticed that you need to keep a distance from light to light
why's that?

This is necessary for lights sources not to collide.
