Mod Developpement : The Epic Of Gilgamesh
I'm trying to figure out an idea for a future mod that i could develop on this game, and i think that a mod that take place around 2500/2000 BC i've never been made on a paradox game, and since i'm a nerd of ancient history, i could start developping a mod on Imperator about the Akkadian, i just hope that map making is going to be easier than every other paradox game.

i'll keep posting on this post if i get more idea about this, if you got any suggestion, tell me !

I love the idea of a Bronze Age grand strategy game but history gets so speculative that far back. What would you do about the huge areas we know nothing about culturally in the period (like, all of Europe for starters)?

Yeah, we know what kind of pottery and similar artifacts they had, but what were their politics like? How large were their political units? How warlike were they? To what extent was it a unified culture? Were the technologies spread through diffusion or conquest or replacement? Heck, we don't even have names or even know what language the names came from. These are the things you need for an EU-style game, and they aren't there.

Hello ! thanks for awnsering, well to be honest, europe was just beginning to be colonized by Phenician and Celtic/Germanic people, so, i just hope there will be a map making tool so we can change the map format of the game, so i don't have to deal with europe (i'm thinking of the game fo thrones mod in CK2)

for the question you have about warlike or not, i do know that at this period of the world, city state were a lot more warmonger than antiquity, for the rest, i'll just have to send some e-mail to my old university professor haha

Nice idea, good luck with your Mod !

I don't think the map is a problem, technically you can let most of Europe as empty lands to colonize in this game, you don't need to have factions everywhere.

Thanks a lot !
Yeah, why not ! I imagine a sumerian empire from india to britain haha, would have changed the base of our society of 3 orders who we inherit from the indo european, the one who work, who fight and who pray

Sumerians would have to deal with Egyptians, Minoans, Elam, Indus Civilization, stonehenge people and indo-european tribes starting to spread in all directions.

There would be less factions than in the current game, making the game more focused upon colonisation and migrations and less about diplomacy and wars.
