Utilizing Different Mods & Server interactions
So I will try to be as brief and as clear as possible. I play on the server Arelith (though I feel my question applies to any server), and I want to try my hand at building.

My question is how I would go about doing this, with me using custom content for my own build? If I have a custom tlk file, 2da or otherwise. How do I utilize one for building and one for playing on a server not using those same resources? Do I need to unsubscribe and resubscribe every time I want to switch? Thank you for any help!

For your own module, use a custom .tlk with a unique name. Put other custom content into .hak files with unique names. These files can coexist with others in the tlk and hak folders because they will be invisible to every module except yours. Use Module Properties to specify which file your module uses.

You can also use .hak files that have been installed for other modules, as long as you don't change them.

You can mess up other modules by putting files in other folders, especially the override folder. There are exceptions to this rule-of-thumb, so ask for more advice if need be.
