Is it possible to make a world compatible to Shipwrecked after creating it?

I am relatively new to DS, and recently I added the Shipwrecked DLC. I am interested in connecting one of my worlds to a SW world using the Seaworthy structure, but all my worlds are not compatible to SW because I don't have the DLC when they are downloaded. Someone who's actually good at this game plz help.

PS: I built the thing machine in one of my worlds and decided to go to another world, but the compatible option didn't pop up, so it still won't work.
