Is there a way to tweak the ini files to make corpses stay longer?

It can be but only with a mod mounted server side, otherwise there are no options to change that duration.

I wanted that to, before few updates bodies would stay longer for like 5 seconds.
Now they just vaporize instantly, really destroys the aesthetics if you ask me...

It was one of the optimisations made for the upcoming Smart Fridge version.
