.gif as an item thumnail?
Yes I know, this is a stupid question.
I've been wondering if it was ever possible to set .gif files as a thumbnail after exploring the workshops of other games and seeing gifnails in those.
Possibly with some sort of editing through the game files or some sort of mod?

why not try to upload something with a .gif as thumbnail and see it it works. Although due the upload data limit, I guess it will be terrible low quality

Yeah, I've tried it with the .gif file being under 1mb and having the same name as the creation. It shows up with no thumbnail on the workshop.

I believe yo ucan save animated PNG files. Not entirely sure if a normal PNG file supports image sequence, but an APNG file certainly does, give that a shot.

Alright, I've tried it just now. It seems to work with an APNG but the image doesn't animate until you preview it on the item page.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
