I asked one modder about a train/lorry logistics centre too. Goods brought in by train from afar to be distributed by lorry to where they are needed.

Train stations would be so much better if they had bus stops embedded though. I have yet to see a train station that doesn't have a bust stop or two close by and very often, right on the station grounds too.

the open-cut station has bus stops included on the overpasses as do a few other i've seen
