Mods crashing servers?
Wanted to see if anyone else was having issues with adding mods into the hosting.cfg file? Without the steam_ugc line, my server boots fine, however adding even 1 mod causes it not to respond properly.

Same type issues... Updated one of our mods, uploaded it to workshop, then restarted the server, and it keeps giving error code 2 and will not download the mod now... I re-uploaded the original mod and it still will not download to the server with error code 2... Duplicated this on 2 different servers...

Solution found: wasn't an issue with mods or the ugc but the server hosting company I was using: GTX. I've since converted to 4NetPlayers and can confirm it works just fine.

I ran into the same issue. the server crashes when it cant download the mods and it can only download those mods if the steam client is running on the same server as the miscreated dedicated server. This means the miscreated server cannot be run on a headless machine properly and needs to be fixed by the game devs

It's proving to be hit and miss right now. Sometimes the server boots with no issues, other times I have to go back through the workshop and relist all the mods I use in the hosting file. I'm not running into the issue where it boots as 50 players despite only being 10 player, but still there are snags here and there. I doubt there'll be a full fix for such issues until there's further modding support for Miscreated, similar to the support games like Skyrim, Banished and Fallout have, where there is an in-game interface for mods/addons.

An update on this issue! I've narrowed the issue down to the hosting.cfg file. On servers rented through companies (rather than through Entrada themselves) the hosting file doesn't respond to query when more than one mod is added. Because there is no server file access via computer (which is available when hosting through Entrada) it's impossible to add a correct ugc line in. Still in contact with several hosting companies to see if any have workarounds.

Most hosting services will allow you FTP access, so you can go through the FTP and update the file...

Yep, tried this, but still nothing. With the help of a 4NetPlayer admin we found the particular mod causing the issues, but it was literally a case of going through each one, rebooting the server and checking if it still responds properly.
