I rate levels out of convinience, not to judge them.
I'd just like to let people know that when I rate a workshop level with a thumbs up(green) or thumbs down(red) ingame, I use it as a convinience function to remind myself if I want to replay that level or not.

There are plenty of fantastic challenging levels people have made, but I prefered to only play them once, enjoy my time, but never replay them in particular, so I rated them red out of convinience, not out of an actual dislike or as a bad rating.

For people out there who make levels, I greatly appreciate the effort you've put in. I've had hundreds of high quality levels to enjoy so I'd like to thank you and let you know that the rating system is more useful as a personal convience reminder thing rather than an actual rating that says a level is good or bad.

Cheers. : )

You sabotage the system then. Esp when ppl search for the best rated levels.
It's more for the community than for yourself.

I do believe that was aimed at the OP as you are using the system the way it was intended to be used. :)

So what they really need is a few more ratings buttons
- Thumbs way up (I really liked this and would play it again)
- Thumbs up (I liked this but once is enough)
- Neutral (not bad, but needs more work)
- Thumbs down (I didn't like it)
- Thumbs way down (absolute dung)

Of course in the game I wouldn't mind them putting the little killer icons on the levels that you have played and completed just like they do with the main game levels.

The thumbs can stay as they are, since it is a Steam thing anyway.
If you need a list to collect certain maps for whatever reason, then that should be applied. A + button, in the game, to add it to a personal list.
