Has anybody located "lootboxes" in the game?

On 1 occasion during and after a search and destroy mission i discovered a giant glowing ring with 3 loot boxes in the middle.
At another time, using the same save i discovered the loot boxes floating in space (Same area as last saved in next to Phaeneros) without a ring around it.
On EVERY occasion once i destroy the lootboxes a similar message/s appear.

Either Legendary weapon or
Legendary ship..... Has been found.

then the message saying thank you for your purchase -10,000,000 credits. Minus 10mil credits.
But nothing seems to have come out of my balance when i checked afterwards..

Once the lootboxes are destroy they leave loot.... so once i try to "collect" the loot, it goes into the collect menu and shows loads of items. As soon as i scroll over to one of the items the game freezes and gives me the game had to shutdown unexpected warning.

Happened both times i tried it. so the 3rd time i shot the lootboxes, got the same warnings and left to see if i received anything. I got a huge♥♥♥♥♥Freighter in my garage and a new weapon seemed to pop up in the weapons trader shop to buy.

Has anybody had anything similar? As i can't seem to find anything similar happen to anybody on the forums.

P.S i have Foreign ships, luckmod, anvilship, no radiation, akira, batwing, unlocked warmasters mods on
