Creating NPC's, where to start?
Where would be the best place to start if you wanted to create your own villagers? Say you wanted to create them just with vanilla assets, but with custom dialogue and whatnot. Other thanusing Yarn for dialogue and making them a custom mailbox maybe, what tools would be used? Could you create them just with the AssetManager? Like, how would I create their housing requirements, or what outfit they'd wear?

Yeah. I would like to know that, too. It seems that game could be a good sandbox for making advanced NPC behaviors.

I've tried picking apart the vanilla npc's in the asset manager to see how they work and got no answers. All their asset paths that determine their clothing/appearance lead to files that are just full of nothing. Whatever files determine that dont seem accessable, wherever they are
