Pouring Water/Lava
Has anyone figured out what the pouring lava, water and blood tiles are supposed to do? They're next to lava, water and blood respectively.

I'm 99% certain they're supposed to make a lava/water/blood fall so you can have chasms that don't have a lava/water bottom, but it seems like they're not working. At the moment all they're good for is to give the lava/water some sound effects.

I think it's a bug, but i'm not quite sure. You have 24 hours to convince me of it's hidden value before it ends up on the user echo.

It is randomised, so not every tile you set as a waterfall will actually have one. Also, chasms must be at least 2 tiles wide in order to have waterfalls at all.

30 seconds of checking and I have no idea what you mean.

Using a long stretch of pouring lava next to a chasm resulted in zero cascades.
I then tried it again with regular lava chasm, which also resulted in zero cascades.
Only by using the specific cascade tiles did I produce any at all.

So the originaly question of "What are these tiles supposed to even do" still remains.

Looking further, I think it's sole purpose is to be put at the top of chasm cascades to smooth out the dirt edge and make the cascade have a more natural looking flow. That's it.

The pouring tiles are used for water/lava/blood falls, yes. They need a certain number of tiles to actually work, though. Every tile adjacent to the pouring tiles need to be normal water/lava/etc tiles. This works for both ends of the waterfall- one for the high elevation and one for the low elevation.

Also on the randomness: this is false. While the tiles will have different LOOKING falls, if the tiles are arranged properly, they will ALWAYS have a fall.
