Mountain of the Sun mod freezes game
I really want to play this mod, but every time I get to map 04, the game freezes. Does anyone who's played this mod have this problem? Everyone else is enjoying this mod and I'm missing out because I'm being held back by something that won't play the game further. I've tried loading maps directly and the map loads, I'm there for a split second, and then I'm sent back to the main menu. What is wrong?

Did you opt in to the beta? It currently doesn't work well with it. I'd temporarily downgrade the game to play..

This was the regular version. When I opted into the beta, it never made it to the Acclaim logo.

Hmm, idk, haven't played it recently but it shoulda worked fine with the regular version.

I'd try uninstalling+deleting the root "Turok" folder in your steam directory, reinstall the game, play the vanilla game once to set some settings, and then try the mod again one more time. I've never heard of the game actually freezing until now, ill try playing the mod sometime later and see if im getting the same result.

Just tried it, didn't help. It still froze in the same spot. I even waited it out to see if it would snap out of it. Eventually, the screen went black and then I was taken back to my desktop and pop up indicated a problem caused the game to stop working.
