Workshop item doesn't work? Try the Vault version.

Having trouble getting something posted on the Steam Workshop working with Neverwinter Nights?

Try downloading the same thing from the Neverwinter Vault (www.neverwintervault.org). It's the place where community members have been keeping 15+ years worth of content, and much of what's been posted on the Workshop is copied from the Vault.

Things downloaded from the Vault get put into folders in your Documents/Neverwinter Nights folder so the game can read them.

Good luck. Hopefully this will work around a lot of the problems people have been having with some of the workshop stuff.

Thanks, the old fashioned way is turning out well for me. Tried and true. Hopefully the workshop gets patched. Even with proposed fixes most stop loading if they do so at all - and even after ensuring it is downloaded. Your transparent gui is loading every time for me now!

And a nice thing I learned visiting that site is you do not have to register to be able to download, which is really nice. :) Some sites with content make you force register before you can download, but not Neverwinter Vault.
