Pagan Mod PLEASE
Could please someone end this horrific situation in battles when my viking men cheer to god and jesus when they win over the christians??? Why the f..... are my men standing in line before the battle with a christian cross on a pole positioned in first line between them??
AND pagans do not build churches... why canceled the good ideas from Atilla whre you could build different buildings?

That is horrific and a slap in the face of true pagan factions loving players!
Sorry guys, nice game, but i cant play this such chaotic and historical not correct... i´m hoping on someone who helps with a mod, my great thx an best wishes.

I admit I miss the ability to convert and build other religious buildings. i kind of thought CA would have kept that.

By this point in history, huge portions of the "pagan" armies were Christian. You are playing as Christians, or Scandinavian rulers over mostly-Christian populace. The Scands were never anything but a minority in Britain, and this is well past the period of "The Great Heathen Army"; Guthrum is a Christian (as is all of East Anglia, at least nominally), Guthred is a Christian (as is the majority of Northumbria), all the Anglo-Saxons and Celts are Christian. Pretty much the Sea Lords are the only exception. Less than 10% of the population of Britain were pagans at this time, and even the Scands were converting.

But if feels like they were planning for pagans then said ♥♥♥♥ it we dont have time or resources. I mean berserkers in a "christian" army? It just takes away a playthrough option with christianity not winning as in history.

I think this mod will happen and it will be good for the game.

I agree with you in the point, that in this time period much people converted to to the christian religion. But the time of this happening is, as such to say, at the point, where we start playing. I´m used to the fact, that total war leaves the choice to the player in which way he plays the game and this animations and cheers are speaking the language of an strong believing christian army.

The fighting men (and women!) in frontline were especialy in case of orkneyr and even the great army were no christian hardliners who shoutet their stigmata load on the battlefield. You stand in line with the ones who have sworn to kill the christian murderers of Ragnar Lodbrok...and then you carry a cross with you and cheer to jesus???
Sorry Haddon...im not with you in this case :)

But this isn't the Great Heathen Army, or the Great Summer Army. Guthrum has converted, Guthred has converted, lots of Norse in Ireland had converted, and all of these armies consisted of some Anglo-Saxons as well. I would agree it wouldn't make sense even 15 years earlier, but by this time you absolutely would have Christians within most of these armies. Ivar, Ubba and Halfdan are all dead (or at least gone from history) by this point, and both Haestan and Ragnald had Christians within their army, albeit not a ton of them.

Also, fighting women? No. Just no.

I'd ust like to mod in a pagan raiding faction just so I could burn churches. I mean I am really considered installing attila again. let that one sink in.
