Steam Workshop Integration
The rest of the modtools developers and I have been rather busy integrating the AwSW modtools with the Steam Workshop. The general idea of this is to replace the old Github distributed tools into something slightly more official.

What does this mean?
  • The old github modtools are still available to download
  • The mods hosted in the repository will continue to be hosted on and be able to downloaded manually, though not ingame as before
  • Mods will be made available to be downloaded from the Steam Workshop ingame and out of game using the vanilla Steam interface for subscribing and unsubscribing from mods
  • Mods will have proper descriptions that are user editable in the ingame downloader
  • You'll be able to upload content by yourself (though I'll have to know about your mod to whitelist it as safe to be installed so contacting me would probably be for the best with that. This will also be required if you update your mod.)

Possible regressions from Github:
  • NSFW mods as classified by Steam will NOT be allowed to be uploaded to the workshop as per the Steam User Agreement
  • Github mods will no longer be able to be downloaded and installed from ingame (though will continue to be able to installed manually). This is because with the modtools being distributed through Steam, we're no longer allowed to distribute potentially Steam TOS breaking content through ingame methods.

The Steam integration can be downloaded here[cdn.discordapp.com]. The downloaded zip will need to be merged with the 'Angels with Scaly Wings' folder on Steam, overwriting files that are changed. In order to use the updated modtools, you will need to subscribe to mods on Steam. This will overwrite any previous installation of the modtools. The Steam integrated modtools are Windows only currently and are not expected to be ported to other platforms.

The mod upload tool can be downloaded here[cdn.discordapp.com]. You will need to be logged into the Steam client to upload mods. Click the 'create a new mod' button which will allow you to type in information about your mod such as the name, description and language. The visibility will need to be set to Public for other users to use your mod. The preview image should be roughly square. The Path should be set to the root directory of your mod. An example screenshot can be found here[cdn.discordapp.com].
In order to update your mod, choose the 'Update a pre-existing mod' button and copy the mod id (which you can find in the URL for the item. Remy Hatchling's mod ID is 1257412672). Only fields that are modified will be changed on the Steam Workshop.

If you would like to contact me, you can either reply to this thread or join the AwSW community fan server[discord.gg]. Note that this server is not official and run completely by the fanbase for the game and is in no way endorsed by M.B Saunders.
The developer tag on my profile for this game is only present to help me manage the modtools as we migrate to Steam and does NOT mean I am a word of God in regards to the game or that the modtools are official.

Any and all feedback, bug reports and anything else are very much welcome!
