Heres an idea for someone more skilled with the unbearable modding system.
I tried to make a simple retexture, but since there isn't a single good guide on how to do anything, and the whole system is overcomplicated, I give up and leave my idea to someone else. It's a simple retexture (and if someone dares, a pack of new blocks) for plastered/painted stone walls.
I found the bare stone a bit too ugly and crude for buildings like cathedrals or residences, which would be made of stone or bricks, but plastered and painted on the inside and outside (usually a white-ish beige color, sometimes more creative variations). All it would require is changing and combining textures for stone blocks into plastered walls, in one (beige) or a couple (beige, red, blue-ish, green-ish, all very weak and not intense) colors on blocks like walls, doorways, windows, arches, etc., but not battlements.
I was inspired by castles and homes in KC:D, which aren't looking like ugly, bare stone of the battlements, but are in nice, soft and pleasant colors. This also gave me an idea for two new blocks: a plastered stone doorway with a rectangular (instead of arched) hole, a wall with a square window hole (again flat top instead of an arch).
If anyone is willing to pick this up, feel free to add me and I could try help with texturing.
