Now if you were talking about making the trading between the different sponsors on Mars using the Space Race DLC much more versatile then I'd agree. But even then you still have supply and demand.
I'd like something to do with my 17k and climbing seeds. The only thing I can use them for is things that use seeds to make more seeds, it's getting ridiculous.

As for those that say it DOES NOT make sense to export things other then Rare Metals, I ask you to review the information on Martian Concrete. To summarize, it's stronger then earth-made concrete, AND to recycle it, all you have to do is reheat it. So, if nothing else, that might in theory be a viable export.
Plus, if nothing else, when you've started to send tens of thousands of resources to earth, the cost associated with it would go down. Sure, starting out, it would cost a LOT more to buy metals, or concrete from Mars on Earth. But over time, that cost would come down, and it would be potentially profitable for earth-based organizations to buy it.
All of that above aside, any modder out there interested in makin' something like this? :)
