I've put my own modules on Steam Workshop . A few others have, too. However, judging by public discussions to date, most Single Player authors are decidedly frosty towards Steam, so I'm not expecting to see many more posts any time soon.
No matter, as it's easy for Steam players to get stuff from the Vault.
Strictly speaking, EE is not a Steam game - it's a game which can be purchased on Steam and elsewhere. So there's no dependency on the Steam workshop, that's just a nice-to-have for Steam users.
If you ever encounter a problem with an older module on EE, please post on one of the forums. Issues like that are very rare, but to date either Beamdog or the community has provided a fix.
