Could you please make it so that if the creator subscribes to an item that they created, it recognizes that person as the creator and allows further updates?

Currently if the creator loses the design on his/her computer, further updates are impossible, and we have to upload a new entry and tell everyone to unsubscribe to the old one and subscribe to the new one. I've had to do it several times, and very few people migrate. The majority never see the message.
