Well basically we hope that you use common sense and just create amazing skins that will impress us and the entire community. When we say common sense we mean like don’t put inappropriate stuff on your skins - to the absolute majority of modders, it’s crystal clear what can be one there, but we still wrote this guide to avoid the sad feeling of being rejected.
•Obscene Stuff
This is pretty straight forward. Don’t put nude genitalia, breasts or similar on the skin you create. Of course you add some blood splatter on there, but not acts of violence or sexual situations. If you’re not sure what this is, you’re probably better off not adding to your skin.
•Copyright Infringement
If you don't have the thumbs up from the owner of a certain work/intellectual property you can't use it, and that applies even if you’ve made something strongly similar to another work. If you do have an “OK” there’s no problem and you can split your profit with that person.
And if you're not sure if you can or can't use something you find its best you just don't.
Note: Overkill are generally ok with using existing Payday2 textures
•Politics & Religion
PAYDAY isn’t about religion and politics, so weapon skins shall not contain any religious or political symbols. This includes cult, churches, political parties and basically any belief you might have.
•Tone & Style
PAYDAY is about heists and plenty of actions. We’ve taken aim for a certain genre and even though we enjoy creative input we might reject your weapon skin if we feel it doesn’t really fit the PAYDAY universe.
•Promotional Skins
You can't promote like your band, brand, company or basically anything else. It’s pretty straightforward really. So if you feel the need to tell the world about some soda, brand of shoe or maybe a movie. Don’t do it on a PAYDAY weapon skin.
•Do NOT make skins for weapons that are not currently editable!
Some of you may know there is a mod that allows you to edit skins that dont let you click an edit button, dont use it, there is a reason Overkill chose those weapons to not be editable.

No worries! You can easily download your workshop item with the "DOWNLOAD" button in the "OWNER CONTROLS" menu to the side of your workshop items page.
(Above Delete, under Edit links)
What about files I didn't include in the item itself like .psd files?
Those files don't get uploaded to the workshop, only the files used in your workshop item will be uploaded to the workshop. Always keep backups.
