You *can* have pointy nose with spinal weapons
The trick is radially offseting a vertical spacer or some long, thin component and pusing it besides weapon(s) to stick just enogh forward.

You might need to fine-tune its length and with spacer you cannot maniupate it by dragging, but in most cases it should be doable:
