This post is just a heads up to people and an attempt to stop the inevitable "angry" posts that are probably still sure to come.
I have posted on the workshop pages for each mod that I have that are not working and have gotten a response from a few and even a few have updated already.
I kind of only want 2 of your mods and you updated one already. Just waiting on: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1234065969
That mod still works fine on my end, but I've reuploaded it now.
I think most of the mods that stopped working can be "fixed" by re-downloading.
I suggest you try manually deleting your workshop downloads of mods that havn't been updated and see if they work again after that.
They can be found under:
...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\392110\
then the number of the mod that you see in the Steam workshop page URL.
Thanks :)
I'm lucky I've got a few days off to get all my mods in order just after the DLC released.
I'm working on some new stuff too.
Got some bigger mods planned that will really add new dimensions to this game.
Edit: that way I can scream "TIMMEH!!!!! TIMMEHHH!!!!!" south park ref.
Hahaha... :)
I hadn't thought about that.
I'm more interested in adding new mechanics to the game.
I'm almost done with an expansion for Deep Space Mining.
After that I'll take a break from modding for a while, but I've got some ideas to revamp the economy and the tech tree, and making all system improvements more unique and powerful.
That's gonna take some time though.
would you ever consider making a mod that reinvents the hero skill tree? i think heroes should focus on one thing. So a seeker should only have mobility, vision, and probes...things that help exploration and so on. Just curious, since you are my favorite modder rite now :P
Good Idea.
The hero skill tree could do with a remake.
Many of the skills seem like out-of place filler material.
I'd like to see the branches more streamlined to Governor, Fleet Command and Hero ship buff specializations.
That's very low priority for me right now, but I'll keep it in mind.

PS: Would you be interested in the idea of making a mod that removes the movement cost of expeditions? I never liked that part of the game. Bad enough it takes millions of turns to get to a system. I once had a mod that did this but it broke and it hasnt been updated since 2017.
PSS: What do you need or use to mod? I wonder if I could do some of these mods myself. I have never made a mod so no harm in trying.
