1. In the Editor Menu (press Esc) there's a region in the middle, under Pars, where you can adjust that. If it's empty you'll have to place a spawner for the hole to see or change the value first.
2. Select the 2nd icon on the lower bar (looks like a joystick), you can find the out of bounds field and water under the 4th type icon (the crossed out ball).
3. The spawns are placed sequentialy - so the frist placed will be hole #1, the second #2 and so on. If you haven't found the spawn yet, once again the 2nd on the lower bar and then the first type (the ball on an downward arrow)
4. Nope, or not yet at least. Would make some things so much easier though.

Every spawn you add to your level will count as a hole.

@miko - While I didn't have a close look at the xmas assets yet, have to somewhat finishing my lastest map before powing (pun intended) into those, there should be either a flat snow piece (like the grass and gravel for forest or sandstone for desert) or some sort volumetric snow piece (again like the stones for forest). Scale them up in x & y, and flatten them out if needed, and start tileing until the grass is gone. ;)

I believe you can using the winter assets that are included in the latest version of the level editor. If that's the case, I would suggest some heavy use of snow and ice assets in the level editor.
