So I'm trying to create an altered version of one of my prexisting mods. I did the following:



1. Copied the original mod inside the community folder labeled 'The heros of endless space'

2. Renamed the copy to the desired title of 'the heros of endless space plus minor faction heros'

3. Deleted the PublishedFile.Id inside the copied mod (the heros of endless space plus minor faction heros)

4. Made alterations in the simulation folder of the new mod, and the changed title, description etc inside the [new] mod's main XML file.

5. Opened endless space 2 - the original mod and its steam work shop counterpart are appearing, but the new mod (the heros of endless space plus minor faction heros) is not appearing at all



I cannot for the life of me workout why its not appearing, is the game not recognising the new mod because something is similar between the two? the new one is a copy of the older one with a few alterations.
