ACE Mod Template Packs?
I love this mod! However I have discovered that any templates I have that use an asset that has been modified (meaning that the template is pre-ACE), such as the carpenter's workbench, the template doesn't recognize the replacement version as the same thing and so it demands something that, technically, doesn't exist and as such will never finish the building. I unfortunately only noticed when all that was left on one of my buildings was the two workbenches that had altered assets. As such I'm looking for templates that are made/altered with the ACE Mod in use. A big one that needs redoing is Blacksmith templates as ACE adds several workbenchs to that class and every template I've come across only uses the two original workbenches.

I currently use tha wonderful templates made by Quwface, but they don't take into account the ACE Mod or the Fisher mod, both of which I greatly enjoy using, but with the first one all the modified assets don't register with the templates and with the second, there simply isn't a template at all with Quwface's template packs. As I lack any real interior/exterior design skills any templates I make are functional, but are very, very drab. Any help would be appreciated.

What you can try doing, is alter the template before you build it. I'm the same way, in that I can't build anything, but I can re-design stuff and make it work.

So what you want to do is find a building that works for you - layout wise (sleeping area and open space or work area). When it's placed, DON'T BUILD IT YET! :HappyMask: Go through and with the little eraser button on top row and "erase" everything you don't need or want in that template.

Now you can start re-decorating. If you did a great job, save the template so you can find it in your next game "Akira ACE blacksmith" or whatever you feel like. NOW you build it.

I hope that makes sense.

It does, but with the blacksmith ones they don't have room for the other benches.

I just tried experimenting with both Quwface Tier1 and Tier 2 (basic and high) templates to see if I could squish it all in there.

You are right. 3 of the furnaces are just SO huge. I could get them into the basic geomacer building with walking paths only. That was the Only basic template I could squish them all in..Just barely.

Several of the "High" templates would work, including again, the geomancer because of the higher celings. If you have at least a baby potter (for the bricks) that might be a better option except the build time. ;)

On the geomancer buildings, the bumpouts on the floor are removable which help for floor space.

Hey there :) Ace member here. The Templates not recognizing the new workshops was a bug that we already fixed. Vanilla templates at least - should work without problems. As somebody already pointed out, you can try removing the items before starting the build process if you want to be sure there aren't any problems. Also - don't despair! We are planning on adding new, more advanced templates for all kingdoms and jobs, stay tuned.

It's so nice when people who make unique mods go that extra mile to provide stuff like templates that make use of their mods.:steamhappy:
