Crosshair Pack Upload
Hello all,

I'm new to the workshop scene, but I made myself a pack of NS2 crosshairs based on Quake 3 arena, and I'd like to upload them to the workshop for others to enjoy as well. Is there a quick way of doing this? They're already in the correct format for the game, I just don't know how to package them for the steam workshop.

Thanks!

Hi, I would recommend to read the Mod Creation, Texture Replacement and Publish your mod sections of https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=802509066 . You can skip the rest if you want to only release a custom xhairs.

Hey thanks for the help. I got the files to upload alright, but they don't seem to be replacing the crosshairs in-game when subscribed. Since I already had the DDS files made, builder just says "skipped".

How do I specify which files these modded crosshairs are supposed to replace?

Just place the dds files directly in the output folder. No need to use builder in that case. Make sure the relative path and names match the ones you want to replace in the ns2 folder.

E.g.
To replace ns2/material/marine/1.dds put the file under output/material/marine/1.dds
